Monday we began the week with our Elf projects! We read: How to Catch an Elf and put our creativity and STEM stills together to create some pretty awesome traps!
We even wrote about How To Catch our Elves
Next we went outside on Tuesday, there wasn’t a lot of snow but the kids had a blast- I was too cold to take pictures that day!
PJ day Wednesday, and Grinch day!
This was a first for me and a favorite!! Another STEM challenge.
After reading the book and doing some Grinch writing
I challenged the kids to create their own Grinch sled. They could make it any way they wanted with the materials provided: Paper, string, tape, glue, candy canes and a Grinch. The sled needed to make it both up and down Grinch Mountain without dropping 8 “gifts” (math cubes) It was so cool to see them crate and then revise their projects to make them better!
Looking forward to to wrapping it up tomorrow with a music concert in the morning, our class party, centers, games and snacks! Happy Holidays and enjoy your family time! Thank you for the gift of your child!
